DNS (Domain name server) is the most important service which allows Internet users to find your website and e-mail by domain name. DNS options for your domain are the important point in management of your domain name. Please be attentive in information input because some incorrect records can lead your website to nonworking status.
To use our service It is necessary to register NS-records at your domain names provider:
ns1.freedns.ws
ns2.freedns.ws
It means that you can find management access for these records on the website where you have bought domain name.
Then you need to pass to the next step - to domain name options in our system. It should be noted.12-24 hours before your domain (website) becomes visible for worldwide users. Somewhere it occurs faster, somewhere more slowly. All depends on certain user and his provider.

The system has some interfaces for work with zones; choose the most convenient for you:

Simple interface
you just enter a domain name and IP address - system all does for you
Adds A records for the domain name, ftp.your-domain www.your-domain, mail.your-domain.
Adds MX record for mail.your-domain, TTL and Serial are put down automatically
Help for use Gmail in you domain
Advanced interface
you can add records A, MX and appoint parameters for all fields, value TTL - 86400 is minimum.
Bulk interface
you enter the list of domains and IP address, then system adds all records on algorithm of the Simple interface for this IP.
You can also remove domains from the system by checkboxes choosing or by mass records editing.
Redirect interface
you specify the domain and URL where to readdress browser requests - system creates "A" records for the domain and www address on our server which then readdresses all requests on specified URL (301 Moved Permanent).
Important! MX records for the domain are not created!
 

FAQ

- Q: I have registered in your service but didn’t receive the letter with a password
- A: Unfortunately in 80% of all cases the question can be paraphrased like: “I didn’t register in your service, why I didn’t receive the letter…” because didn’t want/ didn’t skill/could not read all system message. If you see the message below the registrations form: “Correct errors and try again” please don’t wait the letter from us. Other 20% means that your letter was inhibited by anti-spam system.

- Q: I have a domain mydomainname.com. My provider has allocated for me separate IP-address for mine WWW. It should respond not only on www.mydomainname.com, but also on mydomainname.com. What records I should bring in DNS?
- A: - If you want, that your server responded for a name www.mydomainname.com it is necessary to make record of type A for a zone mydomainname.com:
www.mydomainname.com. A IP-address
- If you want, that your server responded for two names:
www.mydomainname.com and mydomainname.com you need to make A-type records for zone mydomainname.com:
www.mydomainname.com A IP-address
mydomainname.com A IP-address

- Q: I have a domain mydomainname.com. I have set up a post server on the computer with 1.2.3.4 IP-address. What records I should bring in DNS for correct working?
- A: It is necessary:
- to set special name for it. For example mail.mydomainname.com
- to bring in the system following records for zone mydomainname.com
mail.mydomainname.com. A 1.2.3.4
mydomainname.com. MX 10 mail.mydomainname.com.

- Q: Why some users already see my website, but I can’t see it?
- A: Records about your domain were already updated for the provider to whom they are connected. Be patient and one of these days (maximum 72 hours) records will be updated for you.
