Setup of Google Apps/Gmail post service

What is it?
Google Apps service allows using Gmail services right on your domain. It means that you can have e-mail E.G. mail@your-domain.com and use it with Gmail interface.
What reason to use Gmail instead of my web-hosting provider’s e-mail services?
- Space. Gmail affords more than 2Gb data space for each account (you can register a lot of accounts). In consideration of this fact mail is kept in Gmail server and doesn’t occupy free space in your hosting account.
- Reliability. There are nothing better developed and more reliable than Gmail yet.
- Comfort. Well-developed access to e-mail by Multilanguage web-interface. POP3, SMTP services are available as well.
- Anti-spam system. Gmail have perfect spam-filter which is always improved.
- Security. This service was afforded by respectable company and you can be sure that your mail will stay confidential and nobody even organs of government doesn’t get copies of your letters or any your information. E-mail access is realized by secure HTTPS protocol.
- Service is free of charge. All you need is domain name (it can be even free of charge 3rd level domain name and higher)
In consideration of all facts wrote before it is really difficult to find any advantages in e-mail service by web-hosting.
Registration and setup
Make Google Apps account
Go to the link http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/new (Registration page will be opened in new window) and then fill in registration form. There should be no difficulties.
During registration Google asks you how many accounts you need. We advise not to specify too large number; for example 10-20 is normal.
When all data will be entered, Google will ask you to confirm the fact that you are the owner of domain. You can do it by two methods: by loading special html file to your web-site or by adding CNAME-record to your domain DNS records (We recommend using CNAME method). You need to paste in the special field the text (like google3caee4072403c274) which you've got from Google before.
Our service will make right CNAME and MX records in your domain DNS automatically.

Changes cancellation
If you wish to refuse using Google as post service for your domain because of any reason it is easy to cancel this operation. You need just change your MX-record to "your-domain.com." (dot in the end is necessary). But you should remember that any MX-records changes take effect during 24-72 hours.
